For those of you who don't know a large majority of my business consists of my boudoir clients. It's a facet of photography I NEVER thought I would enjoy let alone be any good at it. Now its a large chunk of my income and boudoir sessions are now my absolute favorite to shoot. If you're a female I highly encourage you to request an add to my private boudoir page. If you're a photographer reading this, shoot it all! The experience is always different then what we expect and you never know what you're going to like until you shoot it.

So lets rewind a few months, a client of mine tagged me in a post that had these gorgeous images of a National Park in the UP of Michigan. The next day I had two more people tag me in this same post, and then another. This same week a friend of ours was posting pictures of this park he was at in Michigan, the same park! Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. It felt like the universe was telling me I had to go. This post wasn't going away, I LOVE to travel and my job is to provide my clients with unique sessions that they are obsessed with so I said why the hell not! I opened my books up and people booked! I for one was blown away that people were willing to travel ten hours for me to capture their photos. My clients are incredible.

We left on October 3rd at 5:00am and arrived to the lakeshore at about 5:00p. The gorgeous scenice drive alone was almost worth the trip Michigan is breathtaking in the fall. As much as I would have loved to have an extended trip we had about one hour to get these shoot right because we were all headed back home once the sunset. I still can't believe we did all of this in a day. We basically drove to Canada and back from Cincinnati in less than 48 hours. I studied the map and all of the things about each of the spots at Pictured Rocks, which theres a lot. Over one hundred miles of gorgeous lake shores, trails, waterfalls and all of the things that photographers dream about. This lakeshore is right on the edge of Lake Superior right on the border of Canada. We could hear the waves crashing from the parking lot. I don't know about you guys but I could lose myself in just listening to the waves crashing onto the lakeshore. The views from this park are burned into my memory forever. If you haven't been get out your handy dandy notebook and add it to your bucket list right now.

We're all from Cincinnati, we're used to cold winters but I was not expecting it to be so cold in Michigan already! It was in the mid-40's which added to our experience. The water was ice cold which allowed me to really capture some legit emotions and expressions. By the time our sessions were over I was soaking wet, I couldn't feel my feet and my girls we're freezing. It was sooo worth it. I would do it 1000x over and jump into lake superios but ass naked to relive this experience. We actually loved it so much Chris and I already booked our next trip to Mackinac Island. I captured some of the best photos of my life at this Lakeshore and I am so excited to finally be able to show you! I hope you enjoy these photos as much as I do I am OBSSESSED!

Michigan we love you and I'll see you next month!
